The Rose hair vine is one of my absolute favourite pieces so I’ve decided to showcase it this month as the colours are so soft and pretty; I think it really captures the romance we associate with Valentine’s Day.

The vine centres around a vintage gold tone brooch, with golden leaves and a soft pink flower. The vines have been designed around this central feature and, rather than using pearls, are finished with pink jade beads and Swarovski crystals in shades of gold.

This piece is one of a kind.

How to wear it now

This shorter vine sits neatly at the side of your head or, with some gentle manipulation, could be placed around a bun. It would look lovely worn with a veil beneath too!

How to use this piece as a starting point

This piece has been used as a starting point by many of my brides; when I say about including a brooch in the centre, people tend to look a bit confused but being able to show them how it works in this piece has inspired 80% of my bespoke brides to opt for something similar, with some even choosing their own brooch. The colour combination of the gold and soft pink is another great starting point and a gentle palette for anyone looking to add colour to their hair piece or looking for an alternative to pearls. You could have a piece designed with the same colour scheme but with different details.

I’d love to hear what your favourite colour combination is; leave me a comment below and you might see your suggestions in an upcoming piece!
