Bloom - Coming Soon!
It’s been a while since I last posted an update about my first jewellery collection but with the photoshoot arranged for next week (eeks! I’m so excited for this!) and a launch date for mid-June, I thought it was time to share more about it :)
This collection has been a labour of love. I had ideas a while ago but, as I now know, ideas don’t always work in practice so there’s been a bit of trial and error to make sure that I get everything right. It’s taken around 4 months to get everything completed but I’m pleased to say that all the pieces are finished and I can’t wait for you to see them.
In my last post, I wrote that I was planning to design earrings to match each necklace. After looking at the necklaces though, I decided I wanted the focus to be on them. I decided that my time was better spent perfecting beautiful designs than creating more to fill up space. I hope you’ll agree when you see them!
So, why Bloom?
The inspiration behind the collection came from nature, from beautiful spring gardens with pretty, delicate flowers. As each necklace is a statement piece, it’s also about the feeling; I want every woman that wears these necklaces to feel special, as if she is in bloom. These little luxuries are sure to add the wow factor to any outfit.
I’ve also designed each piece as a starting point for hair piece designs; as most of my hair accessory work is bespoke, I decided not to create a collection of hair pieces this year, but to showcase details that can be incorporated into hair pieces easily if needed. I think the Meadow necklaces, with their soft colours, would make beautiful hair vines, whereas the Orchid design would look stunning as a set of hair pins, each one featuring a different colour orchid from those featured in the necklace. Once you’ve seen the full collection, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
I’m going to share more about the designs over the next few weeks so you can see the detail on each one and learn more about the process and inspiration behind it. The five designs vary in colour intensity, with the Daisy Chain design featuring mostly silver details with touches of colour, to the Wreath design, a dream for lovers of colour with its Swarovski crystal detail running along the necklace in shades of purple and pink on the Lavender edition and green and yellow in the Spring edition - picture daffodils in fields and you’ve got the idea!
I’ll also be hosting a giveaway when the new collection launches over on Instagram so remember to follow me and get involved! You won’t want to miss it. Stay tuned for next week’s post, where I’m going to put the spotlight on the Daisy Chain necklace - 3 colour ways and the simplest design of the collection, but one that I know you’re going to love. See you next week!
